In a dilemma

I'm flying off tonight. I'm going to USA. But why am I not super excited? After all it's USA. It should be every 18 years old girl or guy's wish to go there one day, I guess. My friends envy me. Somehow part of me wants to go but part of me wants to stay back. There's still so many unfinish business and I can't just leave like that.
- Stupid Malaysian studies test spoilt my holiday mood.
- Gonna miss 3 days of classes
- Ed-Excel exam next year
- Parents-lecturer conference
- Haven't collect statement of entry
- Haven't pay fees.
The thing that I regret most is not being able to sit for the stupid m'sian studies test. How I wish I can just cut myself into halve! =P

Exam Blue

Having trials this whole week and as usual Im doing my last minute studying.

Business Paper- The paper was easy and when I look at the question Im like oh I read this before, oh I know this but when I wanted to write the answers my heaad just went blank. To make things worst I din't manage to answer 1 question.

Statistics 1- Screw the whole paper and I lost 15 marks. Damn it!

Mechanics 1- I don't even want the paper back.

Economics- Hopefully can at least get a 'C'

Accounts- Even Joan says its tough, what more can I say.

This term exams were really tough partly because I wasn't well prepared for the papers. Too much of distraction and Im becoming more LAZZYYY!!! So there goes my scholarship. =(

Sawadikaaa.....

Went to Betong during the MERDEKA holidays with my family. It was National Day and we were not even in Malaysia celebrating. How patriotic of us. Haha! Anyway Betong is situated in the southermost province of Thailand and it borders the states of Kedah and Perak. The food there was so so only but the place where we stayed for the first night was beautiful. We took some sort of a mini lorry up the hill and along the way we passed by tons and tons of durian trees. The durians were humongous. We had plenty after that. I thought we were going to stay in a hill top hotel but it turned out we stayed in....

Don't underestimate this cute little looking hut.

Doesn't it look so cozy

The scenery there was also fantastic and the place is just perfect for those who want to get away from the busy life in the city.

Me and the sunflowers

And now durian time.....yummmyyy....

This is what they used to open the durians.

Baby durian

Me and baby durian

I just love durians =P

The next day we came back down and back to the crowded city. This time stay in hotel la of course.

Me and my sister got our own room

Pollution outside the hotel room. Haizz....

Then went shopping and saw this interesting note to customers. Shopkeepers nowadays are just getting smarter. haha.

Other than that we also went jungle trekking in the jungle where the communist used to live. Saw all the leftover pots, pans, traps and many other historical stuff. These communists are actually very smart judging by how they try to survive in the jungle without being notice by the British. For example they cook at one place but they managed to channel the smoke through a man made small tunnel to the other side of the jungle so as to trick the British soldiers. Also visited temples as Thailand are famous for their temples.

I also learned a few simple Thai language:

Sawadika - for guys
Sawadikap - for girls
(Haha I din't know that)
Peng - Expensive
Dai - Can ( So if you want to say can, can, can to a person you say dai, dai, dai. Like asking the person go die only. XD)
Mai Dai - Cannot
Tao Lai - How much?

Placemats

These placemats were done by me and Joan. Not bad yeah? Hehe! Actually doing this was quite time wasting but we had fun gossiping while doing it so thanks to Datin we wasted around 10 hrs in 2 days to finish it. Hopefully they won't just throw it away after using them.

SHIOK Kopitiam

SHIOK Kopitiam is just located in the YMCA building and is famous for its chicken chop. I've been there twice only and I personally think that only the chicken chops are worth eating. The rest of the meals are not bad but it comes in a rather small portion. So if you are a small eater then it'll be just enough but not for me of course. Hehe! One thing I like about this kopitiam is the service. The waiters are very friendly and FUNNY. Here's what I mean by funny.

Me: Excuse me can I have a fork?
Waiter: Hah? ( Gave me a blank look)
Me: Eerr.. garpu?
The waiter just smile and gave me an even more blank look.
Me: K. ( Thinking to myself what language should I speak)
Finally my friend point to the fork on the table and he was like ooohhhh... He was damn funny.

Another incident
Me: Can I have the fried chicken meal? ( Pointing at the picture in the menu)
Waiter: ok
Me: I want the thigh part. Don't want breast meat.
Waiter: Hah? (Gave me a blank look again)
Me: Thigh part.
He just stood there and smile.
Me: Paha
Waiter: eerrr....
I nearly wanted to take up my leg and point at my thigh
Waiter: oh k k
Me: You sure you faham?
Waiter: Ya ya.
Waiter: 1 piece only?
Me: No No! I still want 2 pieces. (the picture showed two pieces)
Waiter: 1 thigh only?
Me: No No. Satu mau drumstick, lagi satu mau paha.
Waiter. oh ok.
I know he sounds dumb but the good thing was he did not show his frustration at all and he was smiling all the way. This is what I called friendly service. Haha!

They have different varieties of chicken chops

American Chicken chop

Fettucini Carbonara

Fried Seafood Pasta

Cappucino Bubble Milk Tea

Wai leng with her Ice Blended Chocolate ( She's actually using a knife to eat the cream and Suk Hwa freak out)

Ice blended Mocha

This dish may look tempting but it sucks. The rice was hard and the cheese had a kind of funny taste.

Orientation Camp

Orientation camp- Yet another camp that I actually enjoyed myself since NS. On that day, we arrived at SUFES campsite, Tapah around 5 and it was raining but we still had to pitch up our tents. This is my first time sleeping in a tent though. Hehe. Overall the best part of the camp were the jungle trekking and stream trotting activities. Although it was quite challenging for me but it was really a great experience. I thought that since I didin't get bitten by leeches in NS maybe this camp surely 'kena' but haha I managed to come back without any leech bites, but instead I had alot of scratches and bruises.

Then there is also the No Apologies talk- a talk on no sex before marriage. Well the talk reminded me of a high school friend. I'm still hoping the best for her and hopefully she will get out of her misery one day. Anyway back to the camp, the games organised by the facilitators were fun too and once again CHARLIE WON!!! Thanks alot to my group members. I am so a Charlie person as I was in Charlie also during NS and of course Charlie won overall. :)

My tent which was pitched up by me, Yew Fong and Rebecca

And after all the hard work, of course need to take picture la.

Cute Doggies

Went to Joan's house before BBQ Nite and took some pictures of her doggies. They are so cutieeee....

And finally BBQ Nite. A very boring night though. By the way you guys must be wondering why I'm wearing such odd colours. Well it's because the theme was mismatch and so I decided to match purple with orange with green. lol. Good combination right?

Monday, July 20, 2009

Its been awhile since I last update cause there's nothing interesting happening around here until I finally went and watch TRANSFORMER at 1u yesterday. I know the movie was released last month but I'm only watching it this month. What to do, with this kind of college time table and driving lessons on weekends my schedule is really pack. Well the movie was worth my RM 9 la. haha. Although I'm not a fan of robots, machines, cars or what so ever but the movie was awesome. It's kind of a comedy plus action-packed. By the way Megan Fox so so only la. No offence to those Megan Fox fans out there. Overall I would give the movie a thumbs-up. Thanks Precillia for the company. Really miss the times in 5SB. Haizzz... After that Jo Yen and Wei Jing joined us to shop shop for awhile and then dinner at BBQ Plaza. We order like crazy but too bad din't bring my camera. Anyway too hungry d, don't care. Oh and not to forget, Precillia, you are the best when it comes to food just like me. hehe!

Some random pic I took outside the cinema

This is a very meaningful song. May Michael Jackson R.I.P

"Heal The World"

There's a Place In Your Heart
And I Know That It Is Love
And This Place Could
Be Much
Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need
To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel
There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways
To Get There
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
Make A Better Place...

Chorus:
Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why
There's A Love That
Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong
It Only Cares For Joyful Giving
If We Try
We Shall See
In This Bliss
We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread
We Stop Existing And
Start Living

Then It Feels That Always
Love's Enough For
Us Growing
So Make A Better World
Make A Better World...

Chorus x1

And The Dream We Were
Conceived In
Will Reveal A Joyful Face
And The World We
Once Believed In
Will Shine Again In Grace
Then Why Do We Keep
Strangling Life
Wound This Earth
Crucify Its Soul
Though It's Plain To See
This World Is Heavenly
Be God's Glow

We Could Fly So High
Let Our Spirits Never Die
In My Heart
I Feel You Are All
My Brothers
Create A World With
No Fear
Together We'll Cry
Happy Tears
See The Nations Turn
Their Swords
Into Plowshares

We Could Really Get There
If You Cared Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
To Make A Better Place...

Chorus x3

There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

Undang Talk

Today i attended a more than 61/2 hrs talk on undang. It was supposed to be a 5 hrs talk only. Nearly drive me nuts! First the speaker was late for about an hour. Then in between the talk he took 10 minutes break to SMOKE!!! He did it twice somemore. Aarrgghhh!!! This kind of undang talk is actually unnecessary because everything that he said was all in the handbook distributed and is basically common sense. Anyway I'm finally done with it and now I just can't wait to faster pass the undang test and get ON THE ROAD.

A Dream Come True.

On the 18th of April, for the first time in history, Raymond Lam Fung stood right in front of my eyes. At first I thought I was dreaming but no it was him. He was wearing a white top and a slightly longer than 3/4 pants. His pants was weird but he still got all the attention on that day. He was super tall, super fit and super hot and i mean SUPER! On that day he was at Sunway Pyramid promoting Ali Cafe. I managed to push my way through the crowd to the front row and I saw him from head to toe. Haizzz... I nearly melt. =P The mc were Gary from 8tv and the Ho Chiak Lady.( not sure of her name). The atmosphere was great but Raymond seems kind of tired. After the autograpf session he did not stay for long but I still managed to take an upclose video of him.

A New Journey Begins in MCKL.

After finally completing my 3 months NS programme, I only had 1 week before deciding to take up A-Levels in MCKL. Well actually I didin't had much of a choice becauce i was still undecisive about what i wanted to do after Form 5. Besides that I wanted the Ed-Excel system which only so far 3 colleges have it and 1 of them is MCKL. If you all were wondering what MCKL stands for, its actually Methodist College Kuala Lumpur. Its located near the Tun Sambanthan monorail station and is a 10 minutes walk from KL Central. Now I'm doing arts in A-Level as i have had enough of science already.

Besides I don't think I'm planning to do anything with medical, engineering or what so ever. All this while I thought college life would be more free and easy but here in MCKL its totally the opposite and I've got to say that college life is way tougher than i thought. Now I can really feel the stress and the competiton. By the way to those who may have look down on arts stream before you might want to take back your words because arts stream really is not as easy as you think.

NS Experience

National Service to me, was an experience that i never expected and will remain in my memories for as long as I live. When I first found out i got NS, I was devastated and kept complaining why did it had to be me but now I understand that it could be God's plan for me and I did not regret a single bit after attending the 3 months programme. Not only did I enjoyed myself very much but I also learned many lessons in life that cannot be taught in the luxury of my own home. My camp, Benum Hill Resort in Raub is said to be one of the best camps in Pahang and I'm really lucky to have gotten that camp as its toilets and dorms were in good condition.

To be honest my first few weeks in camp were really terrible as there were many rules to be followed and we had to wake up at 5.30 every morning for ‘pt pagi’(morning exercise). After that we would have to attend character building classes in which we did numerous group discussion. Usually this is the time where trainees take the chance to have their forty winks. However my CB class teacher never fail to entertain us with his jokes and real life stories.

But then there are those outdoor activities which makes the whole three months worth it. Some of the activities include the handling of the M-16 gun, flying fox, community service, jungle trekking, overcoming obstacles and marching. I guess I would never have had the chance to handle a M-16 gun if I had not went for NS. The jungle trekking was another experience I will never forget. After eating dinner in the tent soaking wet with only our torchlight as a source of light, we had to walk back to the eating hall in the camp from the area we were camping out during the night because it was raining heavily. Although we did not manage to carry out the night walk in the jungle as planned but the journey back to the eating hall under the rain certainly proved the meaning of true friendship as trainees walk carefully down the muddy route holding each other hands tightly and at the same time calming one another. Besides that the sceneries at the camp were fantastic especially at night when the sky is full with twinkling stars. I could just walk down the whole route with my head tilt backwards admiring them. Certainly 3 months experience cannot be written in just a few paragraphs.

Here are some pictures
My Dorm CB5(My bed is the 1 next to the wall)

Nice leh my dorm toilet...hehe

This is where we place our sport shoes ,boots and class shoes.

The camp

The bridge which they only allowed the wira(guys) to used. The water lilies here are beautiful.

The lake. The blue figure is just a trainee doing flying fox.

Haha the wirawati(girls) also have their own bridge but without a roof.

This was taken from a dorm. The clouds just look so cute I couldn't resist not taking a pic of it.
